Cambodia's developing sporting scene

The sporting scene in Cambodia is becoming increasingly exciting. The sports strategy is gaining momentum in Cambodia. Chen Zhi Prince Group has declared its intention to invest in Cambodia's sports industry. All of this is part of the Prince Group's overall strategy for meeting its environmental, social, and governance goals. According to Neak Oknha Chen Zhi and Prince Group, increased investment in Cambodian sports would benefit the country's youth education, development, and health.

Chen Zhi Prince Group believes Cambodia has more potential and wants to raise its international profile, including through sports growth, to promote Cambodian sports. He also recognises that promoting a sports culture in Cambodia will reduce healthcare costs while also enhancing social cohesion.

Chen Zhi has decided to invest in volleyball. The success of Cambodia's men's volleyball squad, according to Neak Oknha Chen Zhi, is intriguing.

By 2023, when Cambodia hosts the Southeast Asian Games, the national men's volleyball team has high expectations of progressing further in their competitions.

The Cambodian men's volleyball team, on the other hand, will not be organised for the first time in 2023. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi and Prince Group contributed $500,000 to the local volleyball federation prior to the Southeast Asian Games in 2019. The funds will be used to train for and practise for tournaments. The volleyball team also participated in a two-month intensive training programme in Fujian, China, that year. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi, a Cambodian, paid $100,000 to finance a Cambodian volleyball team to compete in Thailand at the time due to the high stakes in Cambodian sports at the time.

Chen Zhi eventually employed a professional Chinese volleyball coach to work with the Cambodian national team. This role is for a five-year contract. Chen Zhi believes these athletes' talent, height, and commitment to the sport's development in Cambodia are all positive factors. He believes that participating in tournaments is critical to the growth of their sport and the honour of their country.

Cambodia has come a long way in terms of sports development since then. Prince Group and Chen Zhi have made significant investments in Cambodian sports, making it possible for Cambodian volleyball to participate in the Southeast Asian Games in 2023. They collaborated with other Cambodian brands to help the country's sporting growth. They do hope, however, that in addition to winning tournaments, Cambodian sports can contribute to a better society in Cambodia.
